Sign Up by Sept. 30th for Free Curbside Chipping – Oct. 11–19, 2025

Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue (TMF&R) is offering FREE Curbside Chipping to support Washoe County residents who are disabled, low-income, or elderly. This program makes it easier for those who cannot travel to chipping or green waste collection sites to safely dispose of green, dry, and dead vegetation, shrubs, tree branches, and similar materials. All chipping will occur on the homeowner’s property, with the property owner present for approval. Materials must be placed on the property for crews to chip.
